Withings Joins Innovators’ Network At AHA’s Center For Health Technology & Innovation
Withings, through its healthcare division— Withings Health Solutions—has joined the American Heart Association Center for Health Technology & Innovation Innovators’ Network. The Center is focused on building and fostering health technology relationships to develop innovative and scalable solutions.

“The Center aims to advance the rapid, efficient, and effective development of healthcare technology,” said Robert A. Harrington, M.D., FAHA, volunteer past president of the American Heart Association (2019-2020), chair of the American Heart Association’s Health Tech Advisory Group for the Center and the Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine and provost for medical affairs of Cornell University. “Joining the Innovators’ Network gives members the opportunity to leverage the consortium and work toward broadening and deepening their engagement in this arena.”

The Innovators’ Network is a healthcare technology consortium that connects entrepreneurs, providers, researchers, and payers. Innovators’ Network members also have access to the Association’s digital guidelines, recommendations, and best-in-class science as they develop digital healthcare technologies. Members collaborate with the Center in different ways, including building models for clinical outcome studies, lowering the significant cost of developing those studies independently, helping connect science to technology, and providing evidence that a digital platform improves healthcare outcomes—a key concern for providers and payers.

“At Withings, we focus on the proven benefits of regular, daily care that can help provide valuable insights into our health. With real-world data collected directly from devices in the user’s home, we can provide actionable preventative health management. We believe that by putting the correct devices and solutions into the hands of both the consumer and the health professional, we can help build and support a route to overall better health,” Withings Founder/CEO Eric Carreel stated. “Through the innovative medical-grade technology in our at-home and professional smart devices, Withings is offering a more proactive and long-lasting approach to health. Becoming a member of the Association’s Center for Digital Health and Innovation enables all of us to improve patient outcomes and better support healthcare providers. We’re looking forward to a prosperous membership and will aim to be an active member of the Center.”

Withings brings to the Innovators’ Network a wealth of knowledge and expertise for conscious consumers, health patients, and care providers. Utilizing its range of smart devices that include smart scales, smartwatches, connected blood pressure monitors, digital thermometers, and sleep mats, consumers can monitor various health parameters and their overall health from their homes. In addition, the B2B division, Withings Health Solutions, works alongside many professional health organizations, including health programs that support patients with specific disease states such as diabetes, to manage and understand their health data. Through the cellular connectivity of the scales, BPM devices, or sleep mat, patient data can be shared directly with the health provider, which ensures that regular monitoring and better support can be provided. Finally, the Withings Remote Patient Monitoring platform offers care providers access to accurate and consistent health data from patients whenever they need it.

Withings, incorporating its B2B division, Withings Health Solutions, aims to enhance people’s lives through innovative health devices. Since creating the first smart scale in 2009, Withings has been a pioneer in connected health. Its range of clinically validated products, including smart scales, hybrid watches, blood pressure monitors, and sleep analyzers, are used by millions worldwide. By collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals, Withings makes medical-grade measurements accessible at home, introducing advanced metrics like pulse wave velocity and electrodermal activity to consumers. In 2018, Withings Health Solutions was established as a division dedicated to supporting healthcare professionals in chronic disease prevention, remote patient monitoring, and clinical research. This division bridges the gap between patients and care teams by providing continuous, effortless access to medical-grade data from cellular-connected devices.
